Witch Slayer goes Roar!

A new hero has been added to Heroes of Newerth, his name… Witch slayer. Witch Slayer is an intelligence hero that is based on Lion from DoTa, sorry to those of you who thought he might be more like sniper. Anyway this robust hero has 2 disables, a mana draining spell, and a single target oh my lord did he just take out half my health nuke.

An initiator, disabler, enabler and nuker, he is a serious contender in high level games. Famously played in allmost every lineup of the world’s best DoTa team, Ks.int (arguable).

Will Witch Slayer change the dynamics of Heroes of Newerth ? We think so.

WCG News-Which Group is the Group of Death?

This year, The WCG tried to separate favourites for each game into different groups, resulting in supposedly ‘fairer’ draws. This move is intended to prevent all the favourites of each game to be drawn together, which might result in early exits for the top players. While on the other hand, the seeding feature means each representative will have to play the best of the best and there is no such thing as an ‘easy group’.

DiRT 2 and ATI Eyefinity At Windows 7 Roadshow

Microsoft’s new operating system, the Windows 7 has arrived in Malaysia earlier this week complete with an elaborate launch event by Microsoft Malaysia at Plaza Low Yat, KL. Together with the launch is a week long exhibition which public can get to know the new OS personally.

However, we didn’t see much gaming-related features or activities being shown at the event except for this one multi-screen setup which seems pretty common all over the IT mall. Unknown to many, nothing about this setup is actually ordinary.

Female gaming is very underestimated, as most guys out there think that girls can be beaten easily, they can't play, and the only thing that keeps them in the community are their breasts and 'trunks'. Is that true?

Let's go through this phenomenon together starting from the difference between both sexes in theory and practice. fnatic captain Kwom: MYM worthiest opponent

After defeating German nfinity in the semi final of the Farm4Fame playoff, fnatic will take on their ever adversary MeetYourMakers.

Previous encounters between the two show a very tight history, and the fnatic captain Edvin "Kwom" Börjesson sees MYM as the worthiest opponent right now.

- It feels pretty okay facing MYM in the final, it is the team that I think is the worthiest opponent right now, says Kwom but adds that he withdraws all the teams outside of Europe in his calculations since it's simply too hard to prove due to host abuse.

With numbers of big tournaments coming up, with SMM Grand Final and DreamHack soon on the horizon, Farm4Fame is not that big a deal for Kwom.
- I can only speak for myself, but I don't think it has such big importance compared to LAN and tournaments with a bigger prize purse.

The launch event was pretty much a reprise of last year’s launch but it was significant enough to show that Sony Malaysia are committed to push their PlayStation brand in this country. Jump in to check out what went down over there.

Neo and TaZ without a team - end of their career?

In late February, MeetYourMakers went bankrupt which left the finest Polish Counter-Strike team around Neo and Taz without a home. After some time, they managed to join the German organisation of WICKED eSports. A few months back, WICKED eSports decided to close their doors and shut down, and this left their Counter-Strike team again on the streets. Rumors were thrown about that they would rejoin their former organisation, MeetYourMakers, but this did not happen. Another rumor was that SK-Gaming would pick them up but this again did not happen. Things looked bleak for the two-time ESWC champions, but on September 25th it was confirmed that they have been signed by UK organisation Vitrolic.
